OSC designed and managed a comprehensive public education effort that involved citizens in every step of the tax reform program and was seen as the first step in increasing voluntary tax compliance. For each task of the joint USAID/Dept. of Treasury Tax Policy and Administrative Reform program, OSC designed a corresponding public education activity. OSC’s program engaged local stakeholder support for a new taxes from the beginning. OSC’s approach targeted each of the project tasks with activities such as media training and journalist seminars, public roundtable discussions and town meetings, and targeted placement/broad distribution of posters, brochures and other media.
