Dialogue creates transparency in political processes and encourages free and fair elections.  Dialogue promotes healthy behaviors.  And it improves public awareness and understanding of government and donor initiatives.  In every sector, OSC ensures that local counterparts are the key actors in all communications activities.  We combine formal capacity-building workshops with on-the-job training in market research, integrated media strategy, and campaign implementation.  We incorporate ICT solutions and social media - specific to the infrastructure capabilities of each country - when designing and implementing targeted, gender-sensitive communication strategies to reach, engage, and empower minorities.

OSC provides guidance to key stakeholders as they seek ways to better monitor, assess, predict, and inform parties about environmental, socio-economic, and humanitarian hazards and conditions, and their present or future impacts on food security.

GENDER EQUALITY AND WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT

Using focus groups and polls to assess gender-related issues, OSC provides solutions for increasing women's direct participation in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of municipal improvements as well as engagement in civil society organizations.

HEALTH

Promote healthy behaviors through dialogue.
Whether OSC incorporates active listening methodologies and emerging technologies such as SMS to create measurable behavior change, or leverages motivational factors and utilizes social marketing to promote healthy behaviors and create demand for health services and products, OSC uses evidence based solutions.  We incorporate IPC into IEC activities, and mentor counterparts to monitor, evaluate, and fine tune campaigns to make the most of each interaction.
