OSC’s rigorous population-based surveys and baseline analyses underpin the foundation upon which sound development programming is built. OSC’s innovative approaches to sampling and instrument design allow statistically robust conclusions to be developed in fragile and/or austere contexts. OSC’s ability to establish project baselines, benchmark results against existing baselines, and even conduct longitudinal studies in these contexts is unique among its international peers.
OSC utilizes a broad array of qualitative research methods to ensure that project planners and implementers hone in on the cultural, economic, and political nuances that profoundly affects their work. By integrating data from a variety of methods, OSC develops richly contextualized analyses and strongly substantiate the findings it uses to develop key messages, rollout plans, and other key program activities.
