CRDA Adolescent Reproductive Health and Family Planning
Serbia
USAID
Due to the CRDA project’s public outreach successes, OSC was assigned over one million dollars in earmark funding by USAID to design and implement a reproductive health and family planning outreach campaign targeting Central Serbia’s adolescents. Working with Community Board members, the Serbia Institute for Mother and Child, and key local stakeholders, OSC created adolescent peer education teams in local high schools who led reproductive health education sessions with fellow students. OSC then spearheaded the opening of “youth-friendly” counseling centers in selected municipal Health Centers, linking them to the newly-formed peer education networks. OSC also developed and distributed a suite of printed informational materials targeting students, parents, and educational professionals on reproductive health issues facing youth.
